Aaron Tippin, the Stemwinders and USO Thanksgiving Tour To Afghanistan
C-YA on the road!
It is with great pride and yet, some apprenhension, that I relay some exciting news I heard at the Sandusky County Fair, Fremont, OH last Saturday night. Aaron announced on stage that he and his band, The Stemwinders, will be going to Afghanistan in November. You could feel the sense of pride in Aaron about going overseas to entertain our troops once again. Needless to say, the audience reaction was spectacular, really an emotional moment.... I'm sure 'Where The Stars And Stripes And The Eagle Fly,' will continue to be an inspiration to all those involved in the War Against Terrorism, especially those troops fighting to defend freedom in Afghanistan. May God keep Aaron and the guys and our military personnel overseas safe while they are in harm's way. And, may we all keep them in our thoughts and prayers. If you remember, Aaron started his career going to Saudi Arabia with Bob Hope and the USO during Operation Desert Storm in 1990. Make sure you check out the Lyric Street Records site. Aaron has a new single released, 'If Her Lovin' Don't Kill Me,' from the new CD, Stars And Stripes. There is a clip of the new song on Lyric's Street's site, and there's a small photo of the new CD cover. I just know y'all will love this song. It's already being requested in some areas; make sure you request it in yours. Don't forget the new CD's release date is 10 September 2001. And, don't forget to call your radio stations to request that 'Where The Stars And The Stripes And The Eagle Fly' be broadcast on 11 September 2002 at 9:11am.

'The American Red Cross has teamed up with Lyric Street Records to commemorate the events of 11 September 2001 by organizing a special nationwide simulcast of Aaron's partiotic song, 'Where The Stars And Stripes And The Eagle Fly' which will take place on Wed, 11 September 2002 at 9:11am to pay tribute to the enduring strength of the American people. The airing of the song will be followed by a brief public service announcement from the Red Cross.'

Make sure you request this terrific single. To quote Darren Irby (VP of External Communications for the American Red Cross): "We feel that this nationwide radio airing will show strength and unity and serve as a form of healing, in a positive way...." And, to quote Aaron: "This song has been an opportunity to speak to the people, inspire them and to help our country heal...."
As we, a nation, approach the anniversary of this most heinous act of terrorism, please keep in your thoughts and prayers those families and friends that were directly affected by 11 September. This will be a very difficult time from them. And, don't forget to keep our military personnel overseas in your thoughts and prayers also. God Bless America.
Thanks for the info, Joyce.

I received an email from Lyric Street Records stating that Aaron's new CD is to be released on 10 September 2002. In addition, the new title will be Stars And Stripes. I'm always excited about new releases by Aaron and I just know this new CD will be terrific. Make sure you check it out!
Aaron and the guys have made a few changes recently to the show this year I just know y'all are going to love. Make sure ya take to the time to catch one. He is on both coasts this year! As always, the shows are energetic and fun. Y'all can tell the guys are having a blast on stage, especially poking some fun at Aaron! ~Chuckle~
I apologize for not posting concert photos and updates more regularly. This has been a very long summer for me; I have had some major illnesses in my family and consequently, have not been to as many shows nor spent as much time on the computer. Hopefully, I be able to get back to updating more timely soon. Thanks for your patience.
