COUNTRY WEEKLY MAGAZINE
16 APRIL 2001
Aaron has been chosen to be one of the presenters at the 36th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM), a 3-hour special to be broadcast from Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, Wednesday, 09 May 2001 (live 8-11pm ET) on the CBS Television Network.
And, don't forget: Aaron has been nominated for SINGLE RECORD OF THE YEAR (Award to Artist/Producers(s)/Record Company):
"KISS THIS" -- AARON TIPPIN
PRODUCERS: AARON TIPPIN, B. WATSON and M. BRADLEY
RECORD COMPANY: LYRIC STREET RECORDS
Country Weekly Article:
Aaron is featured as a part of the Country Weekly article, 'Why Top Stars Are Putting Family First' in the 01 May 2001 issue. The fact that Aaron has always put his family first is one the things that makes him so special. Often in our fast-paced society, we forget to take the time to view the world through the eyes of our children. Aaron takes that time....the result being the look of contentment on a man who has found his purpose. Included in the article is a great photo of Aaron with Thea, Teddy and Thomas Aaron I know you will not want to miss.

NORTH AMERICAN HUNTER UPDATE
06 APRIL 2001
Aaron is featured as a part of the Country Weekly article, 'Country Music's Sexiest Men' in the 17 April 2001 issue. You get to chose which 'backside' belongs to Aaron. I know that will not be a difficult choice. ~Chuckle~
Also, I do not believe this is the Country Weekly article Lyric Street was referencing in their What's New section; I believe there is still a feature article forthcoming.
Per Lyric Street: Aaron is still to appear in a future issue of North American Hunter. He is not featured in the Feb/Mar issue, nor the Apr/May issue. Per Lyric Street, he actually did a recent interview, but there were some delays with the accompanying photos. Hopefully, he will appear in the Jun/Jul issue. I will keep you posted.

Check out the Country Music Television site. Aaron is scheduled for:
Friday ~ 7pm ET
Saturday ~ 1pm ET
Sunday ~ 7:30pm ET
Tuesday ~ 10am and 10pm ET
I assume this will be a repeat of the October Showcase. If you missed Aaron in October; hopefully, you will have another chance. Make sure you set your VCRs. I know I will. My cable company, in it's infinite wisdom, decided to drop CMT for the months of September through November. Great timing, huh?
Also, included on the CMT site are the following original October Showcase fun items:
Trivia Challenge
Scrapbook
Video Jukebox
Make sure you check out this Video Jukebox; these are video clips of Aaron's videos that have appeared on CMT. Pretty cool.

NASHVILLE NORTH USA ~ TAYLORVILLE, IL
CITY AUDITORIUM ~ ROME, GA
27 MARCH 2001
Aaron's Official Site has been updated. There have been several new tour dates added; hopefully, a venue close to your home. The new show is dynamite, so you don't want to miss it. To check the new tour schedule, click on:
Aaron Tippin Tour Schedule.
You can now purchase Aaron Tippin merchandise by mail. As of now, the merchandise available is from Aaron Tippin Outdoors. I do know that the new tour merchandise will soon be ready for the road. I would imagine that as soon as it is available on the road that tour merchandise will also be available through the website. To check the merchandise available, click on:
Aaron Tippin Merchandise.
Available are: Aaron Tippin Outdoors T-Shirts Aaron Tippin Outdoors Sweatshirts Aaron Tippin Outdoors Caps Aaron Tippin Outdoors Commenorative Knife.
Nashville North USA, Taylorville, IL
Needless to say, the shows in Taylorville, IL were dynamite, as always. Nashville North is one of those venues where Aaron performs nearly every year. He also has a huge fan club base there; there were about 200 Fan Club members in the last meet n' greet line in 1999. Consequently, when Aaron hits Taylorville, he and the guys are really primed for a rockin' show. These shows were no exception. There were a few changes from the shows I saw in February; Aaron is always fine-tuning and improving his shows as the year progresses. Hopefully, with the new tour dates added, you will be able to catch a show or two or three. ~Chuckle.~ You will not be disappointed.
City Auditorium, Rome, GA:
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make Aaron's show in Rome, GA. Apparently, that was a show I shouldn't have missed (One of those pesky work problems ~ Groan). According to Billy and a couple of fans who are friends of mine, Teddy, complete with guitar, made his debut on stage with his Daddy. I think that would have been something to see. Hopefully, Teddy will return for a repeat performance at some future date. Talent must just run in the family.

North American Hunter Magazine:
Apparently, this magazine is only available to North American Hunting Club members; it is not available at your local newstands. However, per the website for the North American Hunting Club, there is a free 3-month trial membership available. With this membership, you will receive the North American Hunter magazine. The next issue is the Apr-May issue; I assume this will be the spring issue Lyric Street referenced. Per the individual I spoke to, this issue is NOT out, yet. The individual I spoke to did not know whether Aaron was featured in this upcoming issue. I'm sorry I don't have more info, but I am not familiar with this magazine. If you would like to pursue the free 3-month trial membership, click on:
www.naog.com.

GUN GAMES MAGAZINE
05 MARCH 2001
On Saturday, I bought the 20 March 2001 issue of Country Weekly and no article on Aaron. Hopefully, there will be one in the 03 April 2001 issue. Also, remember Billy Craven's message on Aaron's Official Site: There is a place to vote for Aaron in both the 03 April and 17 April issues, as well as the 01 May and 15 May issues for the Country Weekly/TNN Awards show.
If you are still having problems finding the Gun Games magazine, you might want to access their internet site: www.gungames.com.
I was able to order the magazine by calling the 800 number: (800) 771-3020. The February 2001 issue does contain a very nice article on Aaron; I have already received that issue. Since my family participates in both hunting and firearms sporting events, I did order a subscription to the magazine. There is also a news link on the Gun Games site regarding Aaron's ACM nomination: Academy of Country Music Nomination For Single Record Of The Year.
