** UPDATE ON AARON'S GUNSHOPS! **
28 AUGUST 00

There have been lots of changes taking place at Aaron's gunshop in Dowelltown, TN.
As most of you know, the gunshop was moved this past year from its former location of 109 Market Street, Smithville, TN to 3347 Nashville Hwy, Dowelltown, TN, which is 1 mile West of Smithville.
The phone number: (615) 597-6131 and fax number: (615) 597-2455 remain the same. Aaron has also recently added a convenience store and fuel pumps to this location. Not only has the location changed, but so has the name. The new store name is now:

AARON TIPPIN OUTDOORS

The new store is much easier to locate since it is now out on the highway. If you're down that way, make sure ya stop by, check out the new store and merchandise, visit with Corky, and if you're lucky, Aaron and his family.

And, don't forget if ya happen to be in North Carolina, stop by Aaron's daddy's gunshop

You will really enjoy meeting Aaron's daddy and Tempe. In fact, you'll not find a nicer bunch of folks at either store; they make ya feel right at home.

Also, in the works are websites for the both the stores. Neither is up and running yet, but look for Aaron's daddy's to be up and running soon. I will post them as soon as they are up.

PLEASE NOTE: As soon as I finish scanning photos into my computer, I will be adding a segment on both stores. However, I do not yet have photos of the new and improved Aaron Tippin Outdoors store in Dowelltown, only pre-renovation photos. Guess, I'll just have to make a trip south..... I'd like to get a new compound bow, anyway. Are ya listening, Corky? ~Chuckle~

Aaron's new release is available in both CD and cassette at shows. Since this release has recently been a sell-out in a lot of stores, make sure you visit Bill at Aaron's concession booth before you leave the show.

Also available at shows is Aaron's first Lyric Street release, What This Country Needs, available in both CD and cassette.

** WOW!! PEOPLE LIKE US DEBUTS AT #5 ON BILLBOARD CHART **

Aaron's CD, People Like Us, debuts at #5 on the Billboard Chart for Top Country Albums!! This is Aaron's highest debut position for any of his albums. Check out the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. Kiss This is now #19 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks Chart.

Way to go, Aaron! I just knew you could do it; you are the best. Way to go, Lyric Street! Thanks for believing in the best. Way to go AT fans! Aaron couldn't have done it without your unwavering support.

Again.... Run, do not walk to your nearest CD store!! I didn't think it was possible to improve on perfection, but Aaron has a way of doing just that. Country is back! You will not be disappointed....

When you go to your next show, make sure you check out all the new Aaron Tippin merchandise. There are five new T-shirts:

Just checked out Aaron on the Lyric Street website. It has been completely redone; and, boy, does it look great. There is a new BIO with some really great information. There is a cut-by-cut take on the new CD, People Like Us, under TRACKS AND VIDEO. There are lots of new Aaron Tippin photos from the new CD under STILLS.... Oh my!!!

According to the WHAT'S NEW section, Aaron is to be CMT's SHOWCASE ARTIST for the month of October. It's about time.... Plus, a new feature, TOUR PHOTOS, is to be added.

** WOW!! PEOPLE LIKE US RELEASED; COUNTRY IS BACK **

Oh my!!! Run, do not walk to your nearest CD store!! I didn't think it was possible to improve on perfection, but Aaron has a way of doing just that. Country is back. There is not even one mediocre song on Aaron's newest CD, People Like Us. And, wait until you see the cover insert... Oh my!!!

Six of the songs on People Like Us were co-written by Aaron. The current single, Kiss This, is one of them. Aaron co-wrote this song with his wife, Thea, and Philip Douglas (Remember: My Blue Angel).

Of the other five Aaron co-wrote:

The Best Love We Ever Made was written with Thea, his wife. This song is the duet and the one I heard at Fan Fair last year. I remember thinking what a dynamite song about their son, Teddy, but you have got to hear it on the CD.
Twenty-Nine and Holding and The Night Shift were written with Mark Johnson, his band leader and bass guitar player (Remember: I Got It Honest).
Big Boy Toys was written with Buddy Brock (Remember: Ain't Nothing Wrong With The Radio and You've Got To Stand For Something).
Every Now And Then was written with Michael Heeney (Remember: She Feels Like Brand New Man Tonight).
There is also a song co-written by Mark Collie and one co-written by David Lee Murphy.

Loaded with this kind of dynamite talent, People Like Us, can go nowhere but the top!! There is no way this CD can miss!!

Way to go, Aaron! Way to go, Lyric Street! Y'all are the best!

PS: You might as well buy two CDs right from the start. You're going to wear out the first one in no time!

** IT'S GOING TO BE A BOY! **

Per Aaron: Aaron and Thea's baby due in December is going to be a boy! The newest Tippin treasure will be named THOMAS AARON. Thomas Aaron will join Teddy, who will be three in December, and Charla, Aaron's daughter.

May your home always be filled with the laughter and joy that only a child can bring.
