Aaron Tippin
October 2002

'During the Gulf War, I traveled to Saudi Arabia with Bob Hope (1990) to entertain the troops at Christmas.  When I explained my upcoming absence during the holidays to my daughter, Charla, I told her we were both giving our time together so that a lot of soldiers could have a more enjoyable holiday.  That trip with Bob Hope gave me back the spirit of Christmas.  Seeing those thousands of soldiers so far from home, and so appreciative of us sharing our own Christmas with them, filled me an unbelievable sense of the true meaning of the day.'

FYI:  Aaron will be absent once again during the holidays touring with the USO in 2002.
Please keep our military personnel overseas and their families
in your thoughts and prayers.
