TIPPIN AND SON SHARE SOME NAVY HOSPITALITY
Although a recent Aaron Tippin concert in Norfolk, VA was postponed due to heavy rain, the day was not a complete wash-out for the country singer. Regardless of the bad weather, Aaron was invited by the HC2 Desert Ducks Squadron to take a ride on the actual H3 Naval Helicopter that President John F. Kennedy once flew on. Aaron and his four-year-old son Teddy also got a tour of the docked USS San Francisco, attack class submarine which is about to be dispatched to Guam.
"It was a thrill to see Teddy's eyes light up when he saw that submarine for the first time," says Aaron. "He still can't stop talking about it."
Aaron Tippin will likely find himself aboard government helicopters again next month when he heads to Afghanistan this holiday season for a Thanksgiving USO tour. Although the exact locations must remain under wraps for security purposes, the singer will be playing for US troops in several areas within the country.
