(7/3/00, 7 a.m. ET) - Aaron Tippin celebrates his 42nd birthday today (July 3), and for a change, the singer gets to spend it at home on his 300-plus acre farm located just outside Nashville with his family.

"I actually get to be home this year -- it's in between shows" he explains. "We do a show, I get back on my birthday -- boom -- leave the next day, so I get to be home for my birthday. It's really pretty neat."

According to Tippin, the only gift he wants is to be with his wife, Thea, who is expecting their second child in December, and his two children --2-year-old Teddy and 22-year-old Charla.

Tippin will release a new album, People Like Us, on July 25. Its first single, "Kiss This," is at Number 37 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
