Tippin moves to Nashville.




Begins lifting weights; enters his first bodybuilding competition two years later.




Tippin competes on TNN's You Can Be A Star TV Talent contest.




Moves to Music City in "Dazee," the 1975 Toyota he later immortalizes in "There Ain't Nothin' Wrong With The Radio."




Charlie Pride records Tippin's song "Whole Lotta Love On The Line" and makes it his single and video.  Tippin and Mark Collie co-write the latter's debut single, "Something With A Ring To It."  David Ball records Tippin's song "I Was Born With A Broken Heart."




Signed by RCA Records, Tippin becomes the first singer to entertain the troops in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War.




Debut album, You've Got To Stand For Something, becomes a Gold record.




Second album, Read Between The Lines, goes Gold, then Platinum.  "There Ain't Nothin' Wrong With The Radio" becomes his first No. 1 hit.




Nominated as Top Ten Touring Artist Of The Year at the CMA's SRO Convention.




Buys his 300-acre, forested, hilltop getaway in DeKalb County, TN.  Call Of The Wild becomes a Gold record.




Tippin weds Thea Corontzos in a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony in Nashville on July 15.  "That's As Close As I'll Get To Loving You" hits No. 1.




Becomes the commercial spokesman for Channellock Tools.  Tool Box album goes Gold.




Aaron and Thea become parents to Theodore Emory Tippin.  "Teddy" is born on December 14th.  Aaron's 20-year-old daughter from his first marriage, Charla, also lives with him.  Greatest Hits...And Then Some album released.




Signs with Lyric Street Records; releases What This Country Needs.  Garth Brooks records Tippin's song, "Something With A Ring To It."  Chosen by the readers of Playgirl magazine as the star that they'd most like to see in its pages -- becomes the September cover story, but keeps his pants on.  Tippin's debut Lyric Street single, "For You I Will," goes Top 10.




Lyric Street releases Tippin's second single, "I'm Leaving."




Aaron and Thea become parents to a second son, Thomas Aaron.  Thomas Aaron is born December 1st.  Lyric Street releases People Like Us.  Aaron is chosen as the October Showcase Artist of the month on CMT.  People Like Us is certified Gold in 8 weeks.
