Tippin Leaves For Afghanistan
-- Aaron Tippin is winging his way toward Afghanistan, where he'll remain through December 3rd. He and his band will be playing for U.S. troops in several undisclosed locations within the war-torn country.
The call to come to Afghanistan came while Tippin was standing in his yard at home, reports Westwood One.
How did his wife Thea take the news? "The look on her face wasn't very happy at the time," says Tippin. Of course, she's a wife and gonna worry, but she understands. She's as patriotic as I am."
