Today's Trucking News:  Kenworth Factory Featured on ‘Made in America’ TV Series

Monday, 25 August 2003

Kenworth Truck Co. was featured Aug. 20 on the Great American Cable network, a country music video channel, as one of America’s leading manufacturers when the new "Made in America" TV series visited the Kenworth manufacturing plant in Chillicothe, OH.

Plant manager Alan Mayne took "Made in America" host and country recording artist and former truckdriver Aaron Tippin on a tour of the facility that makes what Kenworth calls the "World's Best Trucks." The Chillicothe plant has produced Kenworth trucks since opening in 1974.

Tippin, a notorious truck collector and enthusiast, travels to such companies as Kenworth, Corvette, Southwest Airlines, Chris Craft and Louisville Slugger, among others - companies that the show’s creators say made America what it is today. The show also features country music videos.

The "Made in America" episode on Kenworth will air at least 9 more times during the next few weeks. For a schedule of dates and times for the Kenworth episode, visit www.countrystars.com/MadeInAmerica.html.
