Aaron Tippin With Amy Chappell
Thursday, September 11
Thursday, September 11 is Patriots' Day at the Kansas State Fair, a celebration of our American heroes. Who could be better than Aaron Tippin to perform for us that day. Tippin's hit "Where The Stars and Stripes And The Eagle Fly" was released as a tribute to the victims of September 11. The song reached #2 on the billboard charts and he donated the proceeds from the single to the American Red Cross to distribute to the victims.
More of Tippin's hits include "Working Man's Ph.D.", "Kiss This", and "That's As Close As I'll Get To Loving You". His hit "You've Got To Stand For Something" reached the top ten in 1991 and became an anthem for the nation during the Desert Storm conflict.
